At The City of Ramsey it is our mission to work together to responsibly grow our community and to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient government services.
About the Department
The Administration Department is a multi-faceted department that provides support to the public, the organization as a whole and the City Administrator. The department comprises staff members that support multiple divisions, such as Communications, Elections, and Human Resources.
About the City Administrator
City Administrator Brian Hagen oversees all City operations and activities. Directly responsible to the City Council, he provides leadership, vision and direction to all City departments including Community and Economic Development, Engineering, Finance, Fire, Parks and Recreation, Police and Public Works. Administrator Hagen also manages organizational development, community and intergovernmental relations; provides Council support; oversees City budgeting and planning; assists with human resources matters, labor relations and strategic planning; conducts policy research and much more.
