  1. Summer Recycling Day Event

    July 28, 2018, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Public Works Utilities Building

    The Summer Recycling Day Event provides residents an opportunity to properly dispose of a number of items not typically accepted through the curbside recycling program. Appliances, electronics, tires, fluorescent bulbs, batteries, used motor oil, oil filters, antifreeze, textiles, mattresses/boxsprings, scrap metal are all accepted. There are fees for certain materials. Please see the Summer Recycling Day Event flyer for pricing details. Also, residents can have up to three (3) boxes (dimensions no greater than 12 inches by 12 inches by 24 inches) of documents shredded at our recycling event (there is no charge for this service!).

  2. Canoe RAVE @ Mississippi West

    July 28, 2018, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Mississippi West Park

    River Action Volunteer Event (RAVE) Join the Mississippi Park Connection for service and fun! All trips pair a restoration project with an adventure tour by National Park Service rangers. For this RAVE, we will offer tours of canoe-access campsites on islands near Mississippi West Regional Park. Participants will also help remove invasive plant species that threaten the native plant ecosystems. This fun project is great for adults and kids over 12 years old. No canoeing experience needed. What To Bring: A full water bottle for drinking; Sunscreen, sunglasses, sweatshirts and tick/mosquito repellent; Long pants and sturdy, close toed shoes; Appropriate clothing to get wet and/or muddy The RAVE will happen rain or shine.
